Top seeds Beinhard and Tycova tested in Austrian Open quarterfinal – all Austrians are out
Number one seed Saskia Beinhard (GER, WRL 81) had to fight hard to reach the semifinal of the Austrian Open at EUROPARK shopping mall. Her 18 year old compatriot Ella Galova showed a very good performance and was able to keep up for the first two games. After that the German Champion was able to get more control an won 3/1.
She will meet number four seed Celine Walser (SUI, WRL 126) who celebrated a clear 3/0 victory over Aylin Günsav (GER, WRL 140). We will see, how well both of them recover this afternoon, as the semfinal will take place tonight at 18:00.
Also second seed Katerina Tycova (GER, WRL 111) had to battle and even go into five games to beat the last remaining Austrian player Jacqueline Peychär. The Austrian Champion was able to save three matchballs in the fourth but wasnt able to ein the fifth game as well. It was the longest match so far with 60min of play.
Tycova will meet seventh seed Taba Taghavi (FRA, WRL 133) who caused for a little upset after beating number three seed Lea Barbeau (FRA, WRL 117) 3/0.
